Happy Anniversary :)

I’ve already said this to yall today… more like yesterday, but I’m truly happy for the both of you. You guys have been married for 14 years and still have many more years to come, however, I know you two have been together for over 20. I’m glad to have both of you as parents and am glad that both of you are still in my life.

Not many kids who are born to teenaged parents are lucky enough to say that both of their parents are still together, however, I’m one of them.

I love you both so much. I couldn’t image having anyone else as my mom and dad besides you guys. Though young in age, you two still kept me in check, made sure you were able to provide for me by getting an education and making the decision to join the military. Both of you had the strength and determination to get your lives together at such a young age. I don’t know if I would be able to do the same.

I’m sure you’ve had times where you wanted to quit, but I’m thankful that you didn’t. I’m thankful that you didn’t opt for the easy way out and get an abortion. Sometimes I lose sight of how hard you guys have worked, but all of the time you took to invest in me, I will pay back. That’s what kids are for right? Especially those who unexpectedly come knocking on the front door.

I’m proud of both of you. I hope to become a parent that is as strong, committed, and loving as you two.
